Loved One Injured By Nursing Home Employee, Here’s What To Do

It is becoming more and more common for many of our aging family members and loved ones to move into a nursing home to aid them in their day-to-day living. Nursing homes are there to provide a safe environment, stimulating activities, proper meals, and a helpful staff to our eldest family members. Unfortunately however, problems between staff and residents sometimes arise.

In this saddening case occurring at a nursing home in Rome, Georgia, a resident with a history of dementia was shoved into a bathroom shower by a frustrated and ill-mannered staff member. The resident suffered a broken femur due to the incident. It was later found out that this staff member had a history of bad behavior. Sadly this abuse of the elderly is quite common, but if you or a loved one experience an event such as this case, here’s what to do:

  • If you are aware of or suspect abuse at a nursing home, report it.
  • Contact a law firm, such as Gardner Injury Law, to make sure the nursing home is held responsible and get you the compensation you deserve.
